### Overview

There are three steps to validating a document:

1. Confirm entities and their network

2. Validate metrics

3. Extract and commit everything to the database

#### Step 1: Validate entities and their investment network

In this step you

- ‍Confirm that the system has recognized the correct set of entities (= investors, funds and companies)

- Confirm their investment relations ( = network)

- Amend or add any entity records or investment relations which have not been recognized correctly

#### Step 2: Validate metrics

In this step you

- Spot-check the metrics automatically found by the parsing engine

- Manually identify and add any metrics missed by the parser

#### Step 3: Extract data and commit to the database

In this final step you commit everything to the database for downstream export or use in Accelex Explore.
