Quarterly benchmark refresh - Q2 2026
What's new?
We have updated salary, total cash compensation, and equity benchmarks for all job areas and specializations across all peer groups.
Across all countries in this release, approximately 91% meet the medium / high confidence threshold for equity and 80% for salary, reflecting the strength and breadth of Carta's underlying compensation dataset.
Benchmark Trends
In aggregate, salary and total cash compensation benchmarks are higher than our last release, increasing by approximately 3% at the median. This represents a stronger quarter-over-quarter move than recent releases, where increases have typically been less than 1–2%. Increases are fairly consistent across company stages and levels. Similar to previous updates, specialization-level data continues to change more than the broader job-area sample, as sample sizes for specialized roles are smaller.
Equity benchmarks are also higher than last quarter, with a median increase of approximately 3% across most job areas - slightly stronger than recent quarters. AI/ML Engineering saw the largest median equity increase. Equity YoY growth across many job areas is substantial, reflecting continued market recalibration over the past year.
What were the largest areas of movement from these benchmarks?
Salary - Salary benchmarks for most job areas and specializations are within 3% of last quarter's data. Engineering (particularly AI/ML), Sales, Finance, Design (Art & Graphic Design, General), Operations, and Product saw the strongest increases.
Equity - Equity benchmarks are generally up 3–8% versus last quarter. The largest median increases were in Engineering (AI/ML), Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance with 6-8% increases.

Spousal Consent through Fillable Templates now live
In several states (such as California, Texas, and Washington), any assets acquired during a marriage are generally considered owned 50/50 by both spouses.
Without this form, a company faces several risks:
- Divorce Complications: If a couple divorces, a judge might award half of the equity to the ex-spouse. The company doesn't want an "accidental" shareholder who isn't an employee or who might be hostile to the business.
- Transfer Restrictions: Most equity agreements have "Right of First Refusal" (ROFR) or specific transfer restrictions. A spouse who hasn't signed the agreement might claim they aren't bound by those rules.
- Voting Rights: The company wants to ensure that the voting power remains with the person actually involved in the business.
The spousal consent can be a separate document, but it is almost always bundled within the same "package" as the grant agreement, as an attachment or an exhibit.
While the Grant Agreement is the contract between the holder and the company, the Spousal Consent is a side-agreement between the spouse and the company.
How do I use it?
To get started, navigate to Essentials > Manage Equity > Vesting and securities templates.
Once there click on Create document set.
Choose the security type > add the template name > provide the the file and click next.
Wait for a moment while Carta's AI reads the document and places the variable on all the right places.
Once done, make sure that spousal consent related fields are selected. This is key for the spouse to be able to sign the document through Carta.
While reviewing you can click on each page of the document and see how it will look like
Once ready, click****Save document set below.
Once the holder accepts the security through Carta, they will be able to add their spouse information.
Add spouse information.
Accept the security.
Once that's done, the spouse will get a one time login via email.
They will then fill out their information, as it was added to the document set.
Finally, once that's done, the holder gets an email confirming their spouse has finished signing the document via Carta.
Who is this available to?
Fillable templates are available to all company admins on Carta.

Smart document generation with fillable templates
Managing equity documents has always been done by manually editing PDFs or relying on external tools to fill in grant details. With our smart fillable templates workflow that won't happen anymore. Upload your own agreement documents and have Carta automatically populate them with the right data at the time of issuance.
With fillable templates, you can:
- Upload your own PDF agreement (option agreement, exercise agreement, equity incentive plan, PIU or RSA purchase agreement) and have it become the source of truth for document generation.
- Define exactly where each piece of information should appear on the document — using a point-and-click variable placement interface, or let Carta's AI suggest the placements for you.
- Automatically fill in details like stakeholder name, company name, award quantity, exercise price, vesting schedule, expiration date, and signatures — without any manual editing.
- Trust that Carta handles the PDF generation behind the scenes, overlaying each variable at the precise position you defined, every time.
Review the document and the variable placement. While reviewing you can click on each page of the document and see how it will look like
Once ready, click Save document set below.
From that point on, whenever a grant covered by that document set is issued, Carta generates a fully filled PDF — inserting the real stakeholder and grant data directly into your template, at the positions you defined.
Who is this available to?
Fillable templates are available to company admins on Carta.

Minor improvements to Cap table report with drafts for PIU and phantom/CBU
What's new
Cap table reports are more consistent when run with drafts of PIU or phantom/CBU securities.
Why is it important
Now drafted securities are consistently handled for fully diluted share counts:
- CBUs from plan are included
- Non‑plan CBUs are excluded
- PIUs from plan are excluded
How does it work
From the Run Reports screen, select Cap Table and choose Include draft securities under Additional Options.

Issuing equity has often felt complex, especially for founders and company admins handling just a few grants at a time. That’s why we’ve improved Carta's workflow that helps issuing options quickly, confidently, and without needing vast equity expertise.
With this new workflow, you can:
Follow a step-by-step flow designed for issuing up to five option grants (the most common equity event at early-stage startups).
Avoid mistakes with built-in safeguards like template vesting schedules, legends, and warnings for edge cases.
Feel confident knowing Carta still maintains compliance and data integrity behind the scenes.
Sit back as we pre-fill the draft set with all information we have on the company and stakeholder
How do I use it?
In order to access it, navigate to Essentials → Issue equity → Options → New options draft set
Once there, click on global settings to define the behavior for the whole draft set
Information added to the global settings will apply to all grants within the same draft set
After this is done, start issuing the first grant by selecting the name of the holder.
If Carta detects you have issued grants to that holder before, information will be filled out automatically in order to simplify the issuance.
By clicking on the quantity field, it's possible to now see a glimpse of the current holdings for any specific holders.
Once ready, click submit to release the new grants.
If the issuance is for more than five grants, the in app spreadsheet workflow is still available.
Who is this available to?
This feature is now available to all Carta customers.
We’re excited to make equity administration simpler and more approachable—from day one.

What's New
Company admins can now display the estimated value of the portfolio for PIU holders now.
Why is it Important
Shareholders in PE-backed companies often lack clear visibility and transparency into the current estimated value of their Portfolio holdings; with the expansion of Broad Based Ownership Program, more PE-backed port cos want to provide equity transparency for their employees.
How does it Work
We have deployed the Estimated Value feature, an opt-in tool that allows company admins to display portfolio values to shareholders. Admins maintain full control over the specific values used for portfolio calculations and the overall visibility settings. This initial iteration specifically supports Profits Interest Units (PIU) within PE-backed LLC structures.
Admin Experience: admin will be prompted to go to this Settings page under: 1) Post Profit Interest equity issuance; 2) Manage Stakeholders actions; 3) Manage Employees actions);
Holder Experience: holders are able to view the estimated value of the awards allocated vs vesting and view the calculation formula to understand how estimated value is calculated.

Financial Reporting: Milestone Support with Performance Conditions
Financial Reporting is improving the vesting schedule types supported and updating the UI so it's easier than ever to set it up and generate reports.
What's new?
Milestone award support (Dec 2024)
Milestones are a type of vesting schedule that can be set up at the grant level and that are vested by admins upon holders accomplishing certain achievements. Milestones can be used as a catch all alternative where a performance condition will not suffice. See this support article for information of what vesting schedule types fall under 'milestone vesting' at Carta.
Milestone awards that were granted historically will true up on the next report run in Financial Reporting. Any expense that would have been attached to these historically will be booked in the most recently run period.
NEW: Mixed-vesting milestone support
We've added support for double-trigger milestone awards, where vesting requires both a milestone condition and a performance condition (non-market or event-based) to be met. Previously, milestone tranches with performance conditions were blocked and produced an error.
Contact 718@carta.com if you would like to discuss how to treat these awards.
Anything else I need to know?
If you have any questions or want to talk to an expert about these new changes, reach out to 718@carta.com.

New: Biometric KYC Verification
We’re excited to announce the release of Biometric KYC Verification, making it significantly easier and faster for LPs to complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) tasks on Carta.
Why is this valuable?
Move from setup to capital deployment faster. Traditional KYC is a manual hurdle that creates friction for LPs and delays onboarding. This update replaces legacy data entry with a biometric-first workflow—eliminating administrative overhead while ensuring the highest level of data integrity and compliance.
What’s new?
- Instant identity verification: Individual LPs can now verify their identity by scanning a government ID using their desktop or mobile phone—replacing a manual process with a streamlined flow completed in just minutes.
- Simplified data requirements: For US Investor KYC Due Diligence, we have removed redundant fields to further simplify the process for LPs
- Mobile-first flexibility: Investors can instantly transition from desktop to mobile via QR code to capture high-resolution ID photos, ensuring a higher success rate and faster approvals.
This is available for all Individual entity types across all Investor Services KYC Due Diligence products in all jurisdictions.
How do I use it?
- Enter KYC: Start the KYC process either within the Subscription Documents or Identity Verification task.
- Choose a method: Upload a photo of a government ID or scan the provided QR code to take a photo of the ID.
- Submit: Complete the task in a fraction of the time compared to legacy manual forms.
Anything else I need to know?
- Existing tasks: LPs who have already started a KYC task will continue with the current form to ensure their progress is not interrupted.
- Manual fallback: If an ID cannot be verified automatically, users will be prompted to try again or can choose to fill out the information manually to ensure no one gets stuck.

Introducing Australia’s First Integrated ESS Compliance Suite
What’s new?
Australian companies can now manage their entire equity compensation lifecycle - from issuing grants to generatingreportsdirectly within Carta that you may file with the ATO. This release introduces ESS stock options that replace generic "international" securities, ensuring your cap table reflects real Australian equity structures.
What’s important about this change?
Historically, Australian startups have been forced to juggle multiple platforms, manual spreadsheets, and expensive third-party filers to manage Employee Share Schemes (ESS). This manual process often led to weeks of reconciliation and compliance uncertainty.
How this makes life better:
- For Founders: You can now issue tax-advantaged options (including startup concessions and non-concessional types) using the same familiar workflows on the platform.
- For Employees: Your team receives clear, pre-filled tax statements directly from Carta, making it easier for them to understand their ownership and file their personal tax returns.
- For Accountants & Tax Advisors: Instead of hunting for data, you can be invited as an admin to access real-time, ATO-ready reports, shifting your focus from data entry to strategic advice.
How does it work?
The entire filing workflow is now consolidated into a single source of truth.
- Issue & Track: Issue ESS options directly from the grants flow. Every transaction - grants, exercises, and vesting - automatically syncs to your cap table.
- Generate Reports: With one click, generate ATO-format ESS Annual Reports (Excel/CSV) that include all mandatory fields and automated tax calculations for you to submit to ATO.
- Distribute Statements: Automatically generate and send ATO format summary statements to your employees.
- Collaborate: Invite your external accountant or tax advisor to access the data directly, reducing back-and-forth and lowering accounting fees.
How do I learn more?
For more information on how it works, check out this guide.
- Existing Customers: Our team will reach out directly via email to assist with migrating your current securities to ESS types.
- New to ESS? Check your plan - ESS statement and ATO support features are included in Grow & Scale plans.

Profit Interest Support in Financial Reporting
Financial Reporting will now include Profits Interest Units (PIUs) in all expense and disclosure reports.
Why is this important?
Expense accounting is crucial for private companies because it's the only way to accurately measure profitability, ensure tax compliance, make informed business decisions, and secure funding.
How does Profit Interest support in Financial Reporting works?
- New Disclosure Table: The Minimum Disclosures report will now include a new "PIUs outstanding table" if the company has PIUs. This table includes a dedicated "Repurchased" line for greater clarity.
- Partial Repurchases: When a PIU is partially repurchased, the system cancels the original security and issues a new "balance" security. The report will reflect this (e.g., one grant canceled, one new grant issued). A footnote in the "Tranches" tab confirms that expense is not double-counted.
- Fair Value Override: The report defaults to the Intrinsic Value method for PIU expense. The "Override Fair Value" is still available if there's any need to change it.

Performance condition support for Profit Interests, certificates and RSAs
What's new
Performance conditions are now supported for three new security types: Profit Interests, certificates and RSAs.
How does it work?
In order to add a performance condition to a security, it first needs to be created via the Vesting and securities templates page.
Once there, navigate to the performance conditions tab, click Create performance condition and follow the workflow.
After the performance condition has been created, it can be attached to any option grant, RSU, certificate, RSA and profit interest unit via the draft workflow or by modifying the vesting schedule.
Once a performance condition has been achieved, it has to be recognized to affect the securities it is connected to.
After clicking the option to Recognize, the required fields have to be filled out to proceed.
If the performance condition was achieved with a payout percentage below 100%, unvested shares will either need to be forfeited or repurchased.
In these case, the original security will be canceled a new one will be issued with the vested shares.

Quarterly benchmark refresh - Q3 2025
What’s new?
We have updated salary, total cash compensation, and equity benchmarks for all job areas and specializations across all peer groups.
Benchmark Trends
In aggregate, salary and total cash compensation benchmarks are slightly higher than our last release, increasing by slightly less than 1%. Overall, increases are larger among companies with higher valuations, while increases by level are fairly consistent. Similar to previous updates, specialization level data continues to change more than the broader sample, as sample sizes for these roles are smaller than job area level data.
Equity - Equity benchmarks are generally within 5% of last quarter’s benchmarks. Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Partnerships increased by more than 5%. Manufacturing benchmarks decreased by about 5%.
What were the largest areas of movement from these benchmarks?
Salary - Salary benchmarks for most job areas and specializations are within 2% of last quarter’s data. Research, Human Resources, and Manufacturing saw the largest increases versus last quarter

What’s new?
Carta’s new KYC AML Dashboard provides greater visibility and control of your investor KYC (Know Your Customer) checks. It allows you to easily track requests and keep on top of KYC progress with a visual summary and details for each LP. Here’s how it works:
1. Initiate and track progress
- Invite LPs to complete KYC, including prospective LPs who are not on your Partners Dashboard, and standalone KYC checks outside of Fund Closings
- Remind investors to submit their KYC information and keep things moving
- Monitor status updates and key dates, including when KYC was last updated for an investor, and the results of daily watchlist screenings
2. Consolidate KYC tasks across entities
- Manage results for investors in multiple entities
- See investor KYC checks across jurisdictions in one place
- Ensure regulations are followed with data collection based on the entity’s country of domicile
3. Download results
- Export summary reports for an overview of investor KYC results across all entities
- Export Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reports for individual investor KYC results including risk scores that explain how a verdict was reached
What’s important about this change?
Traditional KYC providers and methods offer GPs very limited visibility into the process. GPs often don’t know how a KYC check is progressing or when it will be complete, and aren’t told why a certain verdict was reached. The KYC AML Dashboard transforms the experience of managing KYC for a fund, whether you’re onboarding LPs for the first-time or running periodic reviews.
How does it work?

Fund admin dashboard spotlight
What’s new?
Spotlight is a new section on the Carta fund admin dashboard. It’s designed to sort and surface your most important workflows, starting with capital calls and distributions.
What’s important about this change?
Before Spotlight, it wasn’t always clear what needed your immediate attention upon logging into Carta, and key updates such as the status of active capital calls were not shown on the dashboard.
Now, your urgent work is surfaced on Spotlight as soon as you log in. Spotlight also consolidates activity across multiple entities, helping you save time and stay aware of priority tasks.
How does it work?
If there is relevant activity on your account, it will appear in the Spotlight section of your dashboard. Each item is displayed as a clickable tile. Simply click on a tile to go directly to the page you need.
Spotlight currently displays:
- Capital call approvals that need your review.
- Updates on active workflows as they progress such as capital calls and distributions.

ISO disqualification reporting logic enhancement
What's new?
To improve reporting related to ISO disqualification dates for holders of ISO option grants that were terminated, we have enhanced the logic used in Carta’s equity reporting suite.
Now an ISO grant will only show as disqualified in the reports if it reaches the statutory 3 month period following termination (or, in the case of a termination due to permanent and total disability or death, one year after the employee’s termination date). Users that require that an ISO grant disqualifies before these dates can enter a manual disqualification date via the modify workflow.
Carta's exercise flow already includes the disqualification logic above. This update affects only reporting.
Why are we changing this?
Previously, there was a mismatch between the disqualification logic in Carta’s exercise flows and in the security modal versus in certain Carta reports in regards to the disqualification status for terminated ISOs. For example, if a stakeholder with an ISO grant with a PTEP of 1 year was terminated by the company, the grant would be shown as ISO disqualified before the statutory 3 months had passed in certain Carta reports. However, if the holder exercised that grant through Carta’s exercise flow within the initial 3 months post termination, the grant type, the tax treatment of the grant displayed to the holder, and the resulting records would reflect the exercise of an ISO in the Exercised and Settled Report.
With this update, for the example above, up until the initial 3 months pass, the grant will not reflect ISO disqualification in Carta reports. It will reflect an ISO disqualification date in Carta reports only once the 3 months statutory period is over.

New Ways to Contact Carta's Financial Reporting Support Team
We know navigating complex ASC 718 or IFRS reports is critical.
In order to help make that process seamless, we’ve added new ways to connect with our experts directly from Carta’s Financial Reporting tool.
There are three ways to get support:
- Message Us: This is the recommended method for any question. This new form allows users to categorize their questions, which automatically routes the case to the correct team and improves response time. The form also includes the ability to add attachments, which can be used to send expense reports to Carta's Support Team
- Schedule a Video Call: Customers can now easily book a meeting with an analyst, which is recommended for complex topics like first-time setup or understanding report calculations.
- Online AI Support: For general questions, customers can still access 24/7 online AI support.
This support article offers the steps on how to find the new contact us modal for Financial Reporting.

We've made a huge upgrade to our LLC product to support Look-through Ownership reporting, eliminating the complexity of tracking multi-entity ownership structures.
What's new?
Look-through Ownership allows you to easily look through intermediate entities on an LLC multi-entity cap table to understand a holder's true ownership in the operating company.
For supported customers, you’ll find a new “Look-through Ownership” option in the cap table view dropdown. Selecting this option will display a completely new view into the owning entity and holding entity relationships across complex legal structures.
- Complete Look-Through Visibility: See true ownership percentages that cut through intermediate entities, such as holdcos, to clearly understand the parent holders of the operating company—giving you precise exposure calculations for strategic decisions.
- Interactive Ownership Mapping: Click through ownership percentages to explore the complete ownership chain with a new UI that highlights all ownership layers and directly maps owning entity to holding entity relationships.
- True-to-Legal Structure Representation: Maintain the actual legal structure of your portfolio company while gaining blended ownership insights, supporting accurate compliance reporting for KYC, taxes, and regulatory requirements.
- Automated Exposure Calculations: Eliminate manual Excel consolidation and reduce errors with automated ownership calculations that update in real-time as your structure changes.
What's important about this change?
While multi-entity structures create various efficiencies for portfolio companies and their investors, they also create reporting challenges. Previously, calculating ownership across a web of relationships required exporting data from multiple sources and manually combining it in Excel, an error-prone, time consuming approach that easily becomes unwieldy as structures grow more complex.
On Carta, look-through ownership calculations are now automatically generated within your cap table view, giving CFOs and investment teams immediate access to accurate exposure data for exit decisions, LP requests, and regulatory compliance.
How does it work?
- Contact your dedicated Account Director to schedule a call to enable Look-through Ownership for eligible portfolio companies
- Navigate to your LLC cap table and locate the new "Look-through Ownership" option in the cap table view dropdown menu
- Click on any ownership percentage to explore the full entity chain and ownership layers

Updated QSBS Attestation to maximize new exclusions and benefits
With H.R. 1, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBB) now in effect, we’ve updated Carta’s Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) Attestation to help you and your shareholders track eligibility and take full advantage of the new benefits.
What’s new?
Support for shorter holding periods: for shares issued on or after July 4, 2025, Carta now tracks eligibility for a partial QSBS exclusion after three years (50%) and four years (75%), with full 100% exclusion available after 5 years.
Support for the new $75M asset cap: Carta automatically checks if newly issued shares qualify under the updated $75M aggregate gross asset limit—so you can confidently verify QSBS eligibility at the time of grant.
Expanded individual gain exclusion: Shareholder letters and eligibility summaries now reflect the increased $15M per-person gain exclusion, unlocking even greater potential tax savings.
Updated dashboard indicators: Carta dashboards and reports now show eligibility based on new QSBS rules and issuance windows. This makes it easier for companies and shareholders to understand their status at a glance.
Why is this valuable?
The new QSBS rules offer significant opportunities for tax savings—but only if companies can accurately track and prove eligibility. Carta’s updates simplify this process. By automating complex eligibility checks and updating shareholder documentation in real time, companies can:
- Maximize potential QSBS tax exclusions across new and existing grants
- Confidently communicate eligibility status to founders, employees, and investors
- Maintain audit-ready records with less manual effort
These upgrades ensure every eligible shareholder is in a position to receive the full benefits of the new law, with built-in transparency and peace of mind.
How do I access the updated attestation?
No action needed, these updates have already been applied to all active QSBS Attestations and portfolios holding QSBS-eligible shares. If you have questions or would like a walkthrough, reach out to your Customer Success team or visit our Help Center.
Anything else to know?
Our team is closely monitoring policy changes and will proactively revisit your company’s QSBS analysis to help you unlock new shareholder opportunities and ensure your audit records remain up to date.

New way to track overdraw shares from the equity plan
What’s new?
All equity awards are now tracked via the Equity awards exceeds equity plan size health check.
When is the health check flagged?
The health check is triggered whenever an issuer has more shares issued from their equity plan than shares available at any given date. Each row in the health check indicates the dates when one or more equity award was issued and overdrew the equity plan.
To check which awards are triggering the health check navigate to Essentials > Run Reports, search for the Equity Plan Report, and review awards issued on the overdraw dates to identify contributing securities.
How can I fix the health check?
There are two ways to fix the health check:
1. Modify the security that triggered the health check to be so its issue date matches a time when the company has enough available shares in the equity plan.
2. Amend your equity plan to increase the number of shares available at the overdrawn dates.

ILPA-compliant notices for partner-level reporting
What’s new?
Partner-level ILPA notices are now available on Carta, making ILPA reporting faster, easier, and more reliable. With this update, you can generate, review, and distribute ILPA notices directly within Carta, at the same time as standard capital call and distribution notices.
What’s important about this change?
For firms, preparing ILPA-compliant notices for LPs is often an additional task alongside standard notices. It can require multiple software tools and manual efforts to book activity and prepare the outputs, adding time and complexity to a firm’s reporting workload.
On Carta, ILPA notices are now automatically generated and distributed at the same time as standard notices, streamlining the process for firms and ensuring all LPs receive them simultaneously.
How does it work?
- Ask your Carta team to switch on ILPA reporting for your fund
- Request a capital call or distribution following the standard workflow
- Review the ILPA-formatted notices in the app alongside the standard notices
- Once approved, the appropriate notices are distributed to your LPs

Updated US and International geographic adjustments
What’s new?
We have updated US geographic adjustments for all metro areas as well as international market adjustments and currency conversions.
US geographic adjustments are generally stable versus 2024. In the largest metro areas where we have employee level data, pay levels have increased at a lower rate than our top labor markets resulting in some lower adjustments vs. last year. For international locations, salary and/or equity adjustments have changed by more than 10% in Poland and South Korea. We observed 5-10% changes in a number of other countries including China, Germany, France, and Japan. These changes are driven by market trends as well as increased sample size in many of these countries.
How do I update my benchmark version?
You can preview the new benchmarks (using updated geographic adjustments) on your Scorecard by navigating to the Benchmarks page and clicking on the "Preview benchmarks" bubble in the top left.

Multi-party Collaboration in Closings
What's new?
We've enhanced Carta Closings to support sophisticated investors and streamline the fundraising process with multi-party collaboration. This major update transforms Closings from a single-user experience into a collaborative platform where multiple LP contacts can access and complete the subscription process simultaneously.
With multi-party, GPs can share access to multiple contacts, including themselves, and LPs can invite multiple contacts (e.g. wealth advisors, lawyers, colleagues, additional signatories) to help complete their subscription documents—all while maintaining complete visibility and control.
Why is this important?
For sophisticated investors, completing subscription documents often requires input from multiple parties—financial advisors, legal counsel, authorized signatories, and others. Previously, this coordination happened offline through countless emails and document sharing, creating friction and delays.
While individual investors can easily complete forms themselves, larger institutional investors and more sophisticated LPs typically require multiple collaborators to review, complete, and sign subscription documents.
Key benefits:
For General Partners:
- White-glove service: Pre-fill your LP’s subdocs while also being able to view and edit in-progress investor questionnaires to proactively assist your LPs through the subscription process
- Enhanced investor management: Add multiple contacts per investor and proactively designate signatories when sending invitations
- Broader visibility: Maintain a comprehensive view of all contacts associated with each LP in an updated investor ledger
- Multi-party data room access: All LP contacts can now access your Closings data room when invited
For Limited Partners:
- Flexible collaboration: Add team members, wealth advisors, joint subscribers or other stakeholders to help complete the sections of the questionnaire on your behalf
- Transparent access & permissions: Maintain visibility into who has access to the questionnaire and define account contact permissions for managing the investment in Carta.
How does it work?
1️⃣ GP Access to Assist
GPs can now add themselves as an additional contact to prefill LP information and also edit investor questionnaires while they're in progress, allowing them to provide timely assistance to LPs navigating the subscription process. LPs are notified that the GP has this visibility, ensuring transparency throughout.
2️⃣ Adding Multiple Collaborators
For GPs: When adding a prospective investor, you can now include multiple contacts with their names, email addresses, and signatory roles. You can edit this list before sending invitations and view all contacts in an enhanced investor ledger.
For LPs: From the Closings welcome page, you can add or remove contacts, while specifying who has signing authority. New collaborators will receive email invitations to access the subscription.
3️⃣ Enhanced Data Room Access
Multiple stakeholders from a single LP entity can now access the Closings data room, ensuring everyone involved can securely access your fund’s information.
How do I learn more?
To learn more about multi-party collaboration in Closings, check out our detailed support articles or reach out to your Account Manager for a personalized walkthrough to support your next fundraise.
