With more than 65,000 companies managing equity on Carta, startups trust us with some of their most sensitive data. We often hear directly from customers that they want single sign-on (SSO) access for their company administrators to strengthen security, streamline onboarding and offboarding, align Carta with their existing IT policies, and support SOC 2/ISO 27001 requirements.
Today, we’re introducing SSO for company admins. Now, you can give your Carta admin users secure, seamless access through your company’s identity provider (IdP)—helping teams stay compliant, efficient, and confident that sensitive equity data is protected.
Centralized, secure access
Now, you can connect Carta directly with your company’s IdP (SAML 2.0 or OIDC supported), like Okta or Rippling, and enable company admins to log in with the same credentials they use across all of your enterprise applications. No extra passwords. No new accounts to manage.
By centralizing access, your company can strengthen security and align Carta with existing compliance programs like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
Simplified onboarding and offboarding
With SSO enabled, your IdP controls access to Carta automatically. When finance, HR, or other company admins are granted access in your IdP, they can log in to Carta right away. When they leave or change roles, your IdP revokes access instantly, so you don’t need to update Carta manually.
This saves time for administrators and reduces the risk of lingering accounts with access to sensitive data.
Compliance-ready audit trails
Centralized authentication means your IT team has a single source of truth for who accessed Carta and when. Audit logs are captured at the IdP level, giving you cleaner records to support security reviews and internal and external compliance audits.
Who SSO is for
SSO for company admins is available to all cap table customers on Carta’s Scale plan. It’s built for teams who need stronger controls as they grow—whether you’re preparing for a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit, tightening internal policies, or simply want to give admins a smoother login experience.
Enable SSO for company administrators.
Centralize access control, streamline security and compliance, and give your company administrators a seamless login experience.
